two thumbs up for SEPET!

yesterday i saw Sepet and i ended up crying...it was so good no wonder they've won awards... it is a typical but unique tragic love story on 2 different people from 2different background who fell in love with each other (by Yasmin Ahmad*claps*). the movie was great as it reflects the life, language and style of a malaysian. i think it is so far the best local film i've ever watched...i reallyt have to give credit to this movie. i wouldn't mind watching it over and over again, not because it is similar to my love life but it is really good.it was very touching.

the movie really shows the society in malaysia....in malaysia we are made out of three main races, which is the malay, chinese and the indians. it is normal to have mix marriages but never a chinese and a malay as the chinese will have to give up their name and their religion...the movie did not hide anyhing as it tells the truth bout mix marriages and how other ppl will normally react to it.

now my boyfriend and i are in a situation like the main actor and actress. we don't mind about each other's race and background, it doesnt matter where we came from, doesnt matter what our skin color is, and doesnt matter we have slit eyes (mata sepet) or not! we are still human. i hope the ending of our love story wouldnt be like in the movie. and i do really hope that one day my parents can accept him for who he is... my parents isn't racist but they are afraid that i'll loose my rights as a women... well, after all, parents knows what is best for their children, do they?

immediately after the show, syafiq cayang called...i was so happi to hear his voice, i couldnt imagine life without him... it is a relief to hear his voice... i love u baby, i love u so much!
